British Petroleum Exploration (Alaska), Inc. (BPXA) required assistance in conducting biological studies to facilitate regulatory approval for exploration and operations on the North Slope of Alaska.
OASIS directed the development and implementation of BPXA's biological studies program. OASIS personnel worked side by side with personnel from BP's Environmental Department developing and implementing broad, scientifically credible biological projects covering several disciplines including birds, marine mammals, terrestrial mammals, fish, vegetation mapping including wetland determinations, hydrology and water quality. Biological study design was often developed in cooperation with federal and State regulatory personnel.
BPXA had the necessary scientific documentation to successfully seek regulatory approval for multiple projects within the contractual timeframe.
